Hi, I’m Jordan(she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW). I’m also a parent, partner, Enneagram 2, Highly Sensitive Person, introvert, 6/2 Projector, plant lover, rock collector, and most importantly, a human.

I believe we all just want to be accepted and feel a sense of belonging and care in this world. Living in a society that minimizes self-compassion, slowing down, and tuning into our bodies makes it hard to feel connected to ourselves and those around us. Add in traumatic life experiences and the world can easily become overwhelming.

When we find a way to be with our experiences, including the difficult emotions that arise when feeling them, we find our way to meaning and purpose. We find our way to the recognition of our shared humanity. We find our way to a more authentic and wholehearted life. We find our way back to our authentic self.

Experience:

I received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Missouri and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Western Michigan University. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, from inpatient to in-home, and served individuals from diverse communities and backgrounds across the country. These experiences and relationships have allowed me to gain a deep sense of compassion and gratitude for the lived human experience.

Through working with others and my personal life journey, I’ve developed an awareness and understanding of the mind body connection and the importance of looking through a holistic lens, meaning the interweaving nature of emotional, physical, social, and spiritual wellbeing. This, along with attachment theory, being compassion focused and trauma informed, helps to guide me in my practice.

I am currently licensed in Missouri, Illinois, and Arkansas, and see individuals and couples, both in-person and virtually.

“Health and illness are not random states in a particular body or body part. They are, in fact, an expression of an entire life lived, one that cannot, in turn, be understood in isolation: it is influenced by- or better yet, it arises from- a web of circumstances, relationships, events, and experiences.”
